Strategi Pemerintah Riau Dalam Meningkatkan Investasi Asing Di Provinsi Riau

Abstract
This thesis aims to understand the extent of Riau Provincial Government Strategy to Increase Investment. Increased investment in the form of Domestic Investment (DCI) and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of course positively correlated to economic growth in the region especially Riau Province but the absence of legal protection in the form of a firm and clear policy would be a problem in raising investment funds to the Province Riau a quantitative investment rate has increased. But there are other variables that wants to be seen as a single entity that can not be separated from investment work, namely the issue of institutional investment, the issue of policy or legal framework, the issue of tax certainty, the issue of licensing services and the issue of political stability.
The method that is used in this research is descriptive by data collecting through the library case. In this research, the researcher uses the foreign direct investment theory and economy liberalism perspective. The writer uses the theory and the concept in order to ease the research in analyzing how the strategyof Riau’s government to increase the investment in Riau Province.
The result of this research is The obstacles to increased investment barriers low quality of human resources personnel, lack of budget, lack of coordination among institutions both horizontally and vertically as well as the lack of application of technology and information systems. The efforts of the Riau provincial government in maintaining the stability of the investment climate in the Riau region still need to be maximized, this is due to the infrastructure available in Riau currently still needs improvement, especially for special company transportation lines.
