ABSTRACT
This research is an economic politics study to explore a strategy of World
Bank as an 1GO to combat corruptions in developing country. World Bank is an
International Development Agency that cares about corruption in country in which it
has a partnership with. Indonesia is one of the countries that take loans from World
Bank and the corruption in Indonesia is already in high level. World Bank wants to
secure and make sure all the loans for Indonesia is far from corruption. So there will
be effective development the country.
Some view this in the positive way as win-win solution partnership between
Indonesia and World Bank, while others view this as neo capitalism. This system only
makes Indonesia become more dependants to World Bank in developing the country.
Indonesia will always need the loan for unlimited time as long as Indonesia still
cannot pay for that. In the other hand, World Bank always comes out with new
strategy for combating corruption.
So far, the effect of combating corruption was not too good. World Bank has
advantages from this situation to intervention in policy making in all aspect of this
country. Indonesia “must ” follow the lead from them to flow the loans in time. We
are under control by World Bank.
