Evaluasi Daya Hasil Dan Parameter Genetik Pada Beberapa Genotipe Tomat (Solanum Lycopersicum L.)
ABSTRACT
Tomato production can be increased through plant breeding techniques by
designing adaptive tomato varieties in the lowlands and selecting superior
genotypes using information on genetic parameters such as heritability. This
study aims to evaluate the yield and determine the heritability of the yield
component characters of several tomato genotypes. The research was carried out
from September 2022 to February 2023 in the experimental garden of the Faculty
of Agriculture, Riau University. This study used eight tomato genotypes from the
Plant Breeding Laboratory of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and two
comparison varieties, Ratna and Intan. This research was conducted using a
randomized block design (RBD) with 10 genotypes that were repeated three
times. The results showed that there were tomato genotypes tested that had a very
significant effect on the characteristics of flowering age, harvesting age, plant
height, stem diameter, fruit length, fruit diameter, weight per fruit, number of
fruits per plant, and fruit weight per plant. Genotypes F7 003008-1-12-10-10-6(1)
(SG3), F7 078097D-9-7-2-21-13(1) (SG5), and F7 097D078-2-2-2-10(19R)-4(3)
(SG6) were the genotypes that had better fruit weight per plant and number of
fruit planted compared to the Ratna and Intan varieties. All characters observed in
tomato genotypes have high heritability values, except for flowering age, plant
height and stem diameter which have a value of medium heritability.
