Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Sosial Terhadap Hedonisme Remaja Di Kampung Maredan Barat Kecamatan Tualang Kabupaten Siak

The problem formulation this research aims to (1) determine the level of adolescent
hedonism in West Maredan Village, Tualang Dsitrict, Siak Regency (2) determine
the level of social media use in West Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak
Regency, and (3) find out whether there is an influence between media use. Social
impact on adolescent hedonism in West Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak
Regency. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive data analysis,
hypothesis testing, looking for the influence of social media use variables on
hedonism. Based on the analysis of demographic factors of teenage hedonism
respondent in West Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, high results
were obtained, namely with a mean of 3,76. Then based on descriptive analysis
based on variables, a level of hedonism was obtained with a mean of 3,77. Which
is a high estimate. Based on the analysis of respondent’s demographic factors based
on variables, the level of use of social media was obtained with a mean 3,75. Which
was in the high interpretation. It was found that there was a significant influence
between the variable social media use (X) on hedonism (Y) of teenagers in West
Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, with a large influence of 46,40%
with a moderate interpretarion, because there was still 53,60% determined by
factors others and not part of this research.
The conclusions of this research are 1) The level of hedonism among teenagers in
West Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency was found to be 3,77 which
is in the high interpretation, meaning that high use of social media can have a direct
influence on hedonistic behavior, 2) The level of social media use in West Maredan
Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency with a high interpretation of 3,74, which
means there is still 1,26 caused by other factors that are not part of this research.
There is an influence between the use of social media (X) on adolescent hedonism
in West Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, which is 46,40% with a
moderate interpretation, because there is still 53,60% determined by other factors
which are not part of this research.
