Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Keberhasilan Weaning Ventilator Pada Pasien Covid-19 Di Intensive Care Unit
Introduction: COVID-19 patients in the Intensive Care Unit are patients with general conditions of severe and critical illness who require ventilators to support hemodynamic stability and reduce mortality. The purpose of this study is to observe the factors that influence ventilator weaning in COVID-19 patients and identify their relationship. Methods: Analytical observational research using a retrospective approach. The sample in this study was 48 people using purposive sampling technique. Data collection through Medical Records of Arifin Achmad Hospital Riau Province. Data analysis used was univariate and bivariate using the Chi square test. Results: Respondents aged ≥50 years were 35 people (72.9%), had BMI in the obese range (25.1-27.0) as many as 24 people (50.0%), had more than one comorbid 37 people (77.1%), had a PaO2/FiO2 ratio classified as moderate as many as 21 people (43.8%) and had a severe SOFA score as many as 42 people (95.8%). Chi square test results showed a significant relationship between age and ventilator weaning success (p-value=0.038), a significant relationship between comorbidities and ventilator weaning success (p-value=0.019), a significant relationship between SOFA Score and ventilator weaning success (p-value=0.013), but there was no significant relationship between Body Mass Index and ventilator weaning success (p-value=0.872) and PaO2/FiO2 ratio with ventilator weaning success (p-value=0.062). Conclusion: Age, comorbidities and SOFA score may influence the success of ventilator weaning. Suggestion: It is expected that nurses can improve services, especially in ventilator weaning patients by paying more attention to factors such as age, comorbidities that are more than one and also high SOFA score values.
