Analisis Penerjemahan Berorientasi Teori Newmark Pada Teks Berita Oleh Mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Universitas Riau
ABSTRACT
Translation is something that can be learned orally or in writing. Translation is the process of transferring the source language (SL) into the target language (TL). These two languages have different sentence patterns or grammar. This difference is what makes the target for translation. This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to determine the use of translation methods translated by students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Riau University. The data for this research were taken from a sentence or paragraph in Japanese news text. The data source for this research was taken through the website page, namely www3.nhk.or.jp, with the Japanese news title being the lowest, 27% of young people answered I am an adult (Jibun Wa Otona To Kotaeta Wakai Hito Nihon Wa 27-Pasento De Ichiban Hikui ) vulnerable in 2022 which can be accessed via the internet. This research focuses on the methods used by students in translating based on the use of Newmark theoretical studies.
The results of this research on news texts in student translation show that 64 quotes from 1 news text found 3 methods used by students consisting of 48 literal method sentences, 13 communicative method sentences, and 3 free method sentences. Based on this research, it was found that students' translation results that stood out in using the translation method were the literal method which consisted of 48 sentences found in Japanese news texts into Indonesian.
