Isolasi Senyawa Metabolit Sekunder Dan Uji Toksisitas Ekstrak Etil Asetat Daun Benalu Pohon Karet (Helixanthera Sp.)
Helixanthera sp. is a parasitic plant from the Lorantaceae family which is often considered a parasitic plant and has no benefits by society. Therefore, this research was carried out to isolate and catalyze secondary metabolite compounds from the ethyl acetate extract of the leaves of the mistletoe rubber tree (Helixanthera sp.) and to test the toxicity of the ethyl acetate extract of the leaves of the mistletoe rubber tree (Helixanthera sp.) using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test method. (BSLT). Isolation of secondary metabolite compounds from ethyl acetate extract was carried out using column chromatography to obtain the final result in the form of six fractions. Among the 6 fractions, the one that will be used as the target compound is fraction 5 (F5). F5 crystals were recrystallized and pure crystals of 0.015 g. The pure compound will be tested for its melting point and recrystallized using UV-Vis and FT-IR. Compound F5 has a melting point of 170- 172 °C. Based on the spectrum from UV measurements at a wavelength of 200- 400 nm, compound F5 produces maximum absorption at a wavelength of 278 nm with FT-IR results showing absorption at a wave number of 3,280 cm-1 which indicates vibration of the OH group, at a wave number of 2844 cm-1. 1 indicates the presence of an aliphatic C-H bond (alkane), at a wave number of 1660 cm-1 indicates the presence of a C=C double bond (alkene) and absorption at a wave number of 1086 cm-1 which indicates the presence of a C-O bond. Based on the IR results, compound F5 has the functional groups O-H, C-H aliphatic, C=C (alkene) and C-O. In the characterization results, compound F5 is thought to be classified as a terpenoid compound, this is shown by the results of the Liebermann-Burchard (LB) reagent test on compound F5 which shows the reaction result in the form of a reddish-colored solution.
