Gaya Komunikasi Kepemimpinan Rezita Meylani Yopi Dalam Melaksanakan Tugas Sebagai Bupati Indragiri Hulu
Women have equal opportunities to become leaders. At her relatively young age, Rezita Meylani Yopi was able to serve as regional head in Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. He showed that women have the ability and role to lead an organization, even at the level of regional head. Through the feminist character that Mrs. Rezita has, she can influence the communication that she builds both within government and within society. Apart from that, this also had an impact on the work programs and policies he produced while leading as regional head in the social, cultural and economic fields. The aim of this research is to analyze communication styles and construct Rezita Meylani Yopi's leadership in serving as Regent of Indragiri Hulu.
The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, using behavioral leadership theory and transformational leadership theory to interpret data analysis. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. The informants were determined using a purposive technique consisting of 17 people who came from different backgrounds and in accordance with the criteria set by the researcher.
The research results show that in leading Indragiri Hulu Regency, Rezita's female character influences the communication style she uses. From the results of this research, there are three communication styles used by Rezita in carrying out her duties as Regent of Indragiri Hulu, including: the structuring style, the relinguishing style and the equalitarian style. Of the three styles, the dominant one used by Rezita is the equality communication style. An attitude of openness, two-way communication and building relationships through an emotional approach leads to an equalitarian communication style. Constructing Rezita's leadership shows the learning process that she carried out long before serving as regent. Through this learning and recognition process, Rezita learns to respect opinions, thoughts and ideas and motivates employees to innovate through work programs. Therefore, democratic leadership is an illustration of how he leads Indragiri Hulu Regency as regent.
