Strategi Komunikasi Islamic Radio 98,5 Fm dalam Menyampaikan Pesan-Pesan Dakwah di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

Radio is a tool that can be used in da'wah activities. Almost all radio stations in Indonesia broadcast news, education, entertainment and religious programs as part of their educational function. Da'wah messages are managed and packaged using various methods or strategies so that the da'wah message has a greater impact. Islamic Radio 98.5 FM is an Islamic radio that spreads and broadcasts Islamic preaching every day in Rokan Hulu Regency with the tag line "Emit Islamic Light From Your Heart". This research is motivated by the role of radio as an information medium in conveying da'wah messages.
This research aims to find out how Islamic Radio 98.5 FM's communication strategy is in conveying da'wah messages in Rokan Hulu Regency using the Laswell communication model and what the supporting and inhibiting factors are in conveying da'wah messages in Rokan Hulu Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative with qualitative descriptive. This research was conducted using data collection techniques of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The selection of informants was carried out using purposive sampling technique. The informants in this research were station managers, broadcasters and radio listeners.
The results of this research are Islamic Radio 98.5 FM's strategy in getting listeners, namely getting to know the audience by approaching the listeners. Second, determine the theme or topic of the broadcast. Third, determine the broadcast schedule. Fourth, determine broadcasters and sources. Fifth, determine the method. Sixth, the choice of communication media is using radio broadcasts. Supporting factors are having quality team members in the form of cooperation and individual abilities and having enough listeners. Inhibiting factors include inadequate radio equipment, rarely active social media, bad weather and less conducive radio space.
