ABSTRACT
This research explains strategies and factors causes Jose Luis Rodriguez
Zapatero win the second general election in Spain. Since this event does not so
often in this country.
The strategies and factors will be analyze with individual and group level.
Data was obtained from website, books, and newspapers. Theories voting choices
and public opinion from Burns, Peltason, Cronin, Magleby, and Dan Nimmo are
utilize to explain the research question. The theories tell that a candidat can win
elections if he/she able to launch issues needs by voters.
The research shows strategies to cope with the Spanyol needs on security by
settling problems of ETA through firm and confronted policy, withdrawing Spanish
troops from Irak, tolerating Moslem to have Islamic values on their school. Luis
Rodriguez Zapatero also does social reforms by giving incentive to families who
have newborn childs, and gender eequalities.
