BKKBN is the institution responsible for controlling population and family growth. Because the average population in Pekanbaru has less economy and makes family growth decrease. With the decline in the economy, children's life and nutritional needs become disrupted (stunting). And this is where BKKBN created the UPPKA program (Management and Business Development to Increase Expector Family Income).program (UPPKA) plays a big role in BKKBN because it reduces stunting birth rates. One of them happened/prevented it in KB Tunas harapan village in Pekanbaru. This stunting occurs due to lack of child nutrition and lack of adequate basic commodities so that basic security and family economy decrease. The purpose of my research is to find out how the counseling process for acceptor families, and to find out the efforts in the success of UPPKA program counseling in KB Tunas Harapan Pekanbaru village.
This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The informants in this study consisted of 5 informants selected through specified criteria called purposive. Data collection techniques in this study through interviews, observation, and documentation. With data analysis techniques using data reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The data inspection technique used is data triangulation.
The results of this study show that the communication of counseling for the UPPKA program in KB Tunas Harapan Pekanbaru village shows that from the knowledge of business actors in Tunas Harapan Pekanbaru is quite good, persuasion to the community runs smoothly and continues to learn about the UPPKA program. The target of the UPPKA program in Pekanbaru is micro small businesses. With the implementation of socialization, the material presented is certainly related to knowing the value of currency and learning to save, confirming family financial management material books, training on the secrets of maintaining economic and family resilience, and the secrets of being a productive elderly. The program counseling is carried out face-to-face and persuasion to micro business actors.
