Perencanaan Komunikasi Kodegroup Dalam Menyelenggarakan Event Do Music Festival 2022 Di Kota Pekanbaru
Performing music is one of the outputs of the creative economy sub-sector that provides benefits for economic, social and cultural growth. KODEgroup is one of the promoters from Pekanbaru City who again organized a musical art performance, namely the Do Music Festival 2022 event. This event was successfully held after its cancellation and postponement due to haze and the Covid-19 pandemic since 2019. This research aims to find out the communication planning at the Do Music Festival 2022 event, communication planning is needed to create communication effectiveness which later the message that the organizer wants to convey can be received properly by the audience.
This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were KODEgroup as the organizer of the Do Music Festival 2022 event, totaling five people who were determined based on purposive techniques. Data collection was done through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Furthermore, data validity checking techniques are carried out by triagulation.
The results showed that in organizing the 2022 Do Music Festival, KODEgroup carried out communication planning which can be described through the Five Steps communication planning model by Cangara. In the early stages, KODEgroup conducted research by analyzing problems, situations, prevailing trends and location surveys. In planning and implementation, KODEgroup determines communicators with credibility, attractiveness and power that can represent KODEgroup. The main target of the Do music event is the audience who have bought tickets since 2019. The messages delivered are informative, educative and persuasive. The media used in the Do Music Festival 2022 promotional activities are Instagram and radio and print media such as newspapers. In the measurement, there was a positive response and good news from organizing this event, but time management needs to be further improved so that promotion can be maximized. The last stage is reporting addressed to PT Kode Group Indonesia.
