Analisis Kemampuan Literasi Lingkungan Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Yayasan Siti Sawiah Baitussalam Pekanbaru

This study was conducted for the importance of environmental literacy for children ages 5-6. It is found that the problems are, some children are not keen on the topics about the environment and some children lack interest in the environment as well as responsibility for the environmental balance. This study aims to find out the ability of environmental literacy in 5-6 year olds at the Siti Sawiah Baitussalam Foundation in Pekanbaru. The research method used is a descriptive research method using a quantitative approach. The data collection methods in this study used observation and documentation methods. This research was conducted at the Siti Sawiah Baitussalam Foundation in Pekanbaru from November – December 2023. The population in the study was 40 children at the Siti Sawiah Baitussalam Foundation, and the sampling technique used was a total sampling of 40 children. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the environmental literacy ability of 5-6 year olds at the Siti Sawiah Baitussalam Foundation in Pekanbaru was 54.1% so that it was in the lower category. The highest rated indicator is the environmental interest rate of 60%, and the lowest in the environmental balance indicator of 44.4%
