Penerapan Pendekatan Berbasis Tradisi Pacu Jalur Untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Sains Pada Materi Dinamika Gerak Lurus Siswa SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan
This research aims to determine students scientific literacy level at SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan through Pacu Jalur Tradition-based learning. The method used in this research was quasi experiment with nonequivalent posttest-only control groups design. 143 of XI grade students were the population in this study. 71 students as the sample of this research was divided into experimental class and control class. The learning with a Pacu Jalur Tradition-based approach is implemented in the experimental class, while conventional learning is applied in the control class. The instrument in this research is a scientific literacy test consisting of 20 multiple choice questions which are arranged based on the scientific literacy competency by PISA 2018. The scientific literacy posttest was carried out after the dynamics of linear motion learning was completed in both classes. The data from the scientific literacy posttest were then analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results of data analysis show that there is a difference between the mean score of the experimental class, that is 74.29 (good category) and the control class's mean score is 57.08 (fair category). Independent sample T-test result showed the sig. value as 0.00 < 0.05. The results of this research prove that the using learning approach based on the Pacu Jalur Tradition is effective in increasing the scientific literacy of senior high school students.
