Studi Antagonistik Dan Aktivitas Antimikroba Ko-Kultur Isolat Jamur Lokal Riau Trichoderma Asperellum Lbkurcc1, Trichoderma Asperelloides Lbkurcc2 Dan Penicillium Sp. Lbkurcc34
The fungal collections, Trichoderma asperellum LBKURCC1, Trichoderma asperelloides LBKURCC2 and Penicillium sp. LBKURCC34 are fungi isolated from plantation soil and peat soil in Riau Province. These fungi have the potential to produce secondary metabolites that have antimicrobial activity. This study aims to examine the antagonistic activity between local isolates of Riau fungi; LBKURCC1, LBKURCC2 and LBKURCC34 and tested the antimicrobial activity of their extracts from co-cultures of these Riau local isolates to several pathogenic bacteria and fungi using the paper disc diffusion method. Production of secondary metabolites was carried out by means of co-culture fermentation of the fungi: LBKURCC34 and LBKURCC1 (co-culture fungi 341), LBKURCC34 and LBKURCC2 (co-culture fungi 342) and all these three fungi (co-culture fungi 3412) for 14 days to obtained 9 extracts to be used for antimicrobial testing. Antagonistic test was carried out for 14 days and observations on control petri dishes and test petri dishes. The strengths of the antagonistic test were LBKURCC1, LBKURCC2 and LBKURCC34. The percentage of antagonistic inhibition between LBKURCC1 againts LBKURCC2 was 37,0 % and 26,0 %, LBKURCC1 and LBKURCC34 was 46,8 % and 20,0 %, LBKURCC2 and LBKURCC34 was 39,2 % and 21,4 %. In the
antimicrobial test, the ethyl acetate extract sample 3412 showed the sample that gave the largest clear zone in testing against Candida albicans fungus, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria with clear zones of 13,5 mm, 13,1 mm and 10,0 mm respectively, while the ethyl acetate extract 341 showed that the sample gave the largest clear zone in the test against Staphylococcus epidermidis and Bacillus subtilis bacteria respectively at 10,3 mm and 10,2 mm.
