Penerapan Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) Berbantukan Aplikasi Nearpod Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kolaborasi Dan Motivasi Belajar Dalam Pembelajaran IPA Siswa SMP
Collaboration skills are one of the skills that students must have in the 21st century. Collaboration skills are skills that imply the ability to work together, participate actively and respect each other's opinions. The teaching and learning process in the classroom is still teacher-centered and tends to be monotonous. The model used is sometimes not suited to students' needs so that students feel fed up, bored, and have no motivation to participate in learning. Efforts to improve collaboration skills and student learning motivation require teacher effort, one of which is by implementing appropriate learning models. One learning model that is widely adopted to support an effective learning approach and prioritize collaboration between students is the learning model cooperative learning type Team Games Tournament (TGT) with the help of the application Nearpod. The aim of this research is to find out how the model is implemented Team Games Tournament (TGT) which is effective in improving collaboration skills and learning motivation of IT Aufia Middle School students in class VIII B in science subjects.
The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK) in 2 cycles which includes 5 stages, namely: 1) localizing the problem, 2) planning, 3) action, 4) observation, 5) reflection. The research subjects were class VIII B SMP IT Aufia which had a total of 24 male students. The variables in this research consist of increasing collaboration abilities and learning motivation as dependent variables, and learning modelsTeam Games Tournament (TGT) with the help of the applicationNearpod is an independent variable. Data collection methods include teacher and student activity observation sheets, collaboration ability observation sheets and student learning motivation questionnaires. The validity of the instrument uses construct validity with assessments from expert lecturers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis.
Based on the results of student data analysis, students' collaboration abilities increased from cycle I with an average of 55.81 in the quite collaborative category to an average of 80.63 in the very collaborative category in cycle II. Furthermore, students' learning motivation increased from cycle I with an average of 82.37 in the high category to 90.50 in the very high category in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that student collaboration and student learning motivation have increased from cycle I to cycle II.
