IPA is one of the subjects in the implementation of teaching learning activities. IPA is a complex science, because it has interrelated parts. The expected IPA learning is active learning, where students play an active role in the classroom as learning takes place. However, the phenomenon that occurs in schools is that the pupils are less active and find it difficult to understand the concepts in IPA physics in particular, many teachers apply conventional learning to the lessons of IPA Physics so that pupils often experience difficulties in understanding the physical concepts that indirectly affect the cognitive learning outcomes of pupils on the physical material of IPA. One way to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students is to use a varied learning model as well as the use of learning media. The learning model plays a very important role in increasing the activity of the student in the learning process, because with the learning model can vary a series of learning processes that are interesting and enjoyable for the student.
The aim of the study was to describe the improvement in the cognitive learning outcomes of the students as well as to identify significant differences in the learning outcome of the learners after the Quantum Teaching learning inhibitor using the Choose Number on static electrical material. The benefit for students is to improve cognitive learning outcomes, while the benefit for teachers is to be used as a reference in IPA learning, especially physics, to improve the learning outcome of students.
Research undertaken at Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru MTs will begin in October-December 2023. The type of research used is Quasy Experimental Design with the research design being Posttest-Only Control Design. The research population is the total number of students in the 9th grade of Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. Sampling based on normality tests and homogeneity tests of previous daily material repetitions. Determining the experimental class and control class to be used as a sample is by simple random sampling on a homogeneous class. The data collection instrument used is a written test of the cognitive learning results of IPA physics. Data is analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis techniques.
The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average cognitive learning outcome of the class that applied the Quantum Teaching learning model with the Coose Number was higher, which is 79% with the good category, compared to 52% with the conventional learning model. Students at C1, C2, C3, and C4 levels are better at learning in classes that apply the Quantum Teaching learning model with Choose Number. This is because the application of the Quantum Teaching learning model in this research has not been able to optimize on the C5 region, other than that the issue on the Choose Number is less discussing HOT issues (High Order Thinking). The results of the hypothesis test with the Independent Sample t-test technique obtained a significance result of 0.00 which means a small of 0.05, so it can be interpreted that there is a significant difference in the cognitive learning outcome of the student after the application of the Quantum Teaching learning model with the help of Choose Number.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the learning model of Quantum Teaching assisted by Choose Number can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of the students and there is a significant difference in the learning outcome of the learners after applying the model of learning Quantum teaching assisted with Choose number. This suggests that the use of the model can be recommended as one of the alternative learning models that can be applied to teachers in learning IPA physics, but it is necessary to strengthen the phase of Quantu Teaching in associating material with everyday life, besides it is also necessary to have HOT (High Order Thinking) on the choice number.
