Pengujian Optimasi Runner Turbin Vortex Tipe Curved Dengan Variasi Diameter Sebagai Pembangkit Listrik Picohydro
Gravitational vortex turbine is innovation and has potential for utilization water flow with low elevation as powerplant even in little scale, research for maximum potency vortex turbine still go on for search best efficiency, from basin, runner, and other things as capable to increase efficiency of vortex turbine. In this research performed with variation diameter runner type curved, with basin diameter 0,4m and debit 8 x 10-3 m3/s. Obtained efficiency 63% at runner with 10cm radius, 69% at runner with 12cm radius, and 62% at runner with 14cm radius. Few factors affect efficiency like vortex phenomenon, runner to basin ratio, imprecision basin condition, limited precision at manufacturing runner, bearing friction, and another factors.
