Wheelchairs are mobility devices that are often used by people who have difficulty walking using their legs, due to illness, injury, or disability. Ideally, a wheelchair is needed so that the user feels free and comfortable in adjusting the movement of the wheelchair according to their wishes. In fact, this cannot be done by users who have limitations on the hands, so they need other people to be able to move the wheelchair. Therefore, to overcome these problems, a tool is needed that can help and facilitate wheelchair users who can be easily controlled by the user or user, without having to come into direct contact with the wheelchair, namely a wheelchair with an electric motor-based drive. From the comparison of the results of manual calculations and static simulations using Ansys Workbench 2022 software, von mises stress values of 25,24 MPa and 321,55 MPa were obtained with safety factor values of 8,32 and 3,11.
