Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick Berbantuan Media Mystery Box Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Peserta Didik Pada Materi Tekan Zat Kelas VIII SMPN 2 Koto Kampar Hulu
The aim of this research is to describe the cognitive learning outcomes of students through the application of the talking stick-type cooperative learning model assisted by mystery box media in class VIII.I SMPN 2 Koto Kampar Hulu. This research was carried out at SMPN 2 Koto Kampar Hulu in the first semester of the 2023–2024 academic year. The research began in January–February 2024. The research subjects were students in class VIII.I of SMPN 2 Koto Kampar Hulu, with a total of 16 students. The research method used in this research is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest posttest design research type. The data in this research were analyzed descriptively. The results of descriptive research show that the average value of students' cognitive learning outcomes before being taught using the talking stick type cooperative learning model assisted by mystery box media is 44.45, while the average value of students' cognitive learning outcomes after being taught using the learning model cooperative talking stick type assisted by mystery box media is 69.14. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the cognitive learning outcomes of class VIII.I students at SMPN 2 Koto Kampar Hulu before and after being taught with the talking stick-type cooperative learning model assisted by mystery box media.
