Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) Berbantuan Media Question Card Terhadap Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Peserta Didik Pada Materi Termodinamika Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Keritang
Physics is one of the compulsory subjects at high school level which studies natural phenomena in the form of matter, energy and the interaction processes between the two. One of the educational goals in learning physics is that students are able to understand physics concepts so that they can later be applied in everyday life. However, in reality physics learning at school does not fully facilitate student learning outcomes, physics learning tends to only be informative and mathematical so it does not involve students in achieving good learning outcomes. Therefore, the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model assisted by Question Card media is used as an effort to improve student learning outcomes through meaningful learning based on evidence during the learning process.
The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine the effectiveness of learning using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model assisted by Question Card media in improving the learning outcomes of class XI MIA students at SMA Negeri 1 Keritang. The benefits of this research are: for students it is hoped that it can improve learning outcomes in Thermodynamics material, for teachers it can make a contribution in the form of improvements to the teacher's teaching process and it can be a reference about the importance of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model assisted by Question Card media, and for researchers it is hoped that it will become a basis for following up on other research with a wider scope.
The type of research used is quasi-experimental with a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research samples used were class XI MIA 1, totaling 35 people as the experimental class and class XI MIA 2, totaling 32 people as the control class. The experimental class was given treatment in the form of a Numbered Head Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model assisted by Question Card media, while the control class used conventional learning. After the thermodynamics learning is carried out, these two classes will be given a posttest in the form of a learning outcomes test. Next, the posttest score will be analyzed based on indicators of student learning outcomes which are determined based on the score for understanding physics concepts.
The research results showed that the average score of the experimental class was higher than the average score of the control class. The average score for experimental class learning outcomes was 79.14 in the good category. For the remembering indicator (C1) the experimental class is included in the good category, for the understanding indicator (C2) the experimental class is included in the quite good category, for the applying indicator (C3) the experimental class is included in the good category, for the analyzing indicator (C4) the experimental class is included in the good category. good category, for the evaluating indicator (C5) the experimental class is included in the good category, for the creating indicator (C6) the experimental class is included in the very good category. Based on the average score of the learning outcomes, it was also found that the effectiveness of learning by implementing the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model assisted by Question Card media was in the effective category. Meanwhile, the control class obtained an average score of 69.84 with the learning outcomes category being quite good. For the remembering indicator (C1) the control class is included in the quite good category, for the understanding indicator (C2) the control class is included in the quite good category, for the applying indicator (C3) the control class is included in the poor category, for the analyzing indicator (C4) the control class included in the quite good category, for the evaluating indicator (C5) the control class is included in the good category, for the creating indicator (C6) the control class is included in the very poor category. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test and the significance value (sig.2-tailed) was obtained, namely 0.001, so H0 was rejected, which means there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in classes that apply the Numbered Head type cooperative learning model. Together (NHT) with the help of Question Card media with classes that apply conventional learning to Thermodynamics material.
Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that cooperative learning type Numbered Head Together (NHT) assisted by Question Card media can improve student learning outcomes and is effective for application to Thermodynamics material in class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Keritang. Researchers recommend that readers can examine student learning outcomes, especially using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model assisted by Question Card media on material that is more complex than Thermodynamics material.
