The Android-based Maca application was developed as a response to children's low interest in reading, lack of interesting learning media, and children's difficulty in recognizing the letters of the alphabet. This application is designed to improve the early reading skills of children aged 5-6 years through simple activities, such as recognizing letters of the alphabet, syllables, objects, vegetables, fruit, families, colors and surrounding nouns. The application is equipped with dubbing for each letter and games according to the child's development indicators. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the aim of producing applications that can improve children's early reading abilities. The development stages involve potentials and problems, information gathering, product design, design validation, design revision, and product revision. The research instrument involves material validation, media appropriateness, and educator responses. The research results show that the Maca application is considered very feasible based on validation from material experts (89.6%), media experts (92.71%), educational experts (93.75%), and limited trials (88%). Therefore, the Android-based Maca application is recommended for use in improving the early reading abilities of children aged 5-6 years.
