This Research is intended to understand the influence between recruitment and knowledge management on employee performance at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru City. Indonesia is the largest producer and exporter of palm oil in the world. Employees have a crucial role in creating and managing organizations to maximize the use of available technology. Palm oil has an important role in the Indonesian economy, especially in rural areas, provides raw materials for the industrial sector, and also contributes to foreign exchange. The success of achieving the vision, mission and objectives of the organization is fully supported by employee behavior, the good and bad performance of PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru City as a local agribusiness company in Indonesia is strongly influenced by the human resources in it. The quality of employees can be indicated by performance. In order for company goals to be realized, they need to improve the recruitment system and implement knowledge management to improve employee performance to be a factor in maintaining business success. The independent variables are recruitment and knowledge management, while the dependent variable is employee performance. The method used is quantitative method. The sample used was 80 respondents using the Random Sampling technique which came from employees of the HR, Marketing and Plant divisions. The source used in the study is primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires which are then compiled with statistics using SPSS software. The results of the study show that partially the recruitment variable has an influence on employee performance, partially the knowledge management variable presents an influence on employee performance and together recruitment and knowledge management present an influence on employee performance.
