Status Kesuburan Perairan Danau Daek Berdasarkan Trophic State Index (TSI) di Desa Teluk Kenidai Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
The toxic activities of aquatic plants and oil palm plantations around Daek Lake will provide input in the form of organic and inorganic materials to the waters so that it will increase nutrients which will affect trophic state of water. Measurement of trophic state can be done using 3 approaches, namely physics, chemistry and biology. Trophic State Index (TSI) uses these three approaches in determining the trophic state of waters so that it is more representative. This study aims to determine trophic state of Daek Lake using TSI which was conducted in July-August 2023 at Daek Lake. There were 3 stations, namely station 1 (around the inlet), station 2 (in the middle of lake) and station 3 at the end of the lake. At each station there are 2 sampling points, were determined at surface and 2 Secchi depth. Sampling was done 4 times once/week. Water quality parameters measured were temperature, transpararency, depth, acidity (pH), dissolved oxygen (DO), free carbon dioxide (CO2), Chlorophyll-a and total phosphate. Results shown temperature : 29-31⁰C, depth : 300-500 cm, pH : 6.9-7.3, dissolved oxygen : 5.84-8.91 mg/L and free carbon dioxide:11.88-13.86 mg/L, transparency 80-95 cm, total phosphate : 0.017-0.031 mg/L and chlorophyll-a : 11.07-13.08 µg/L. The TSI value during the study ranged from 56.99-53.70. Based on the TSI value obtained, it can be concluded that the trophic state of Daek Lake is light eutrophic.
