Peranan Guru Dalam Pencegahan Bullying Di Smp Negeri 1 Rengat Barat
This research was motivated by several cases of bullying that occurred in the school environment which certainly violated students' rights to get comfort in the learning process. Students who are victims of bullying will experience adverse effects that are certainly not good for the future of students. This study aims to find out how the role of teachers in bullying prevention in SMP Negeri 1 Rengat Barat. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study consisted of 17 (seventeen) people, namely from Guidance Counseling (BK) teachers, subject teachers, principals, school supervisors, school committees, and students. Data analysis techniques in this study used a qualitative approach. The findings in this study explain that teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Rengat Barat have several ways to prevent bullying through the role of teachers which are divided into two, namely in preventive actions and curative actions. Preventive actions are taken in the prevention of bullying by implementing the role of teachers as Correctors, Inspirers and Motivators, Demonstrators, and Class Managers. Curative action is by implementing the role of teachers as Mediators Facilitators and Evaluators. The role of teachers who show preventive actions can be done by knowing the signs of bullying through complaints from other students it seems that students who are victims are often aloof and look set aside from their other friends. The role of teachers who show curative action is to provide space for victims to tell their experiences related to bullying and if teachers find cases of bullying must immediately process the problem and find the best solution.
