Struktur Komunitas Gastropoda Pada Ekosistem Mangrove Di Kawasan Perairan Pesisir Tanjung Buton Kabupaten Siak
Gastropods community structure in the mangrove ecosystem is related to the mangrove condition in general. Anthropogenic activities conducted in the mangrove may affect the condition of that area and thus it reflected in the gastropod community structure. A study aims to determine the gastropod community structure in the coastal area of the Tanjung Buton has been conducted in May-June 2023. Gastropod samplings were carried two weekly, 3 times. There were 3 stations, around the harbor (S1), in the ecotourism area (S2) and in the mangrove forest that is far from human inhabitant (S3). In each station there were 3 transects (100 m) and in each transect there were 3 plots (10m x 10m). Gastropods were captured manually from 3 sub plots (1m x 1m) placed inside the plots. The number of gastropods captured were noted and they were then identified. Results shown that there were 11 species of gastropods present and they were belonged to 9 genera and 5 families. The abundance of gastropods in the research stations were varies. There were 7.08 organisms/m2 in S1, 7.88 organisms/ m2 in S2, 16.47 organisms /m2 in S3. The Diversity Indexes of the gastropods were 2.55; 2.78 and 3.33, while the Dominance Indexes were 0.17; 0.16 and 0.11 in S1, S2 and S3 respectively. The Uniformity Indexes were 0.99; 0,93 and 0.96. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the mangrove ecosystem in the S1 and S2 were under medium ecological pressure, while that of the S3 was stable and no ecological pressure.
