Komunikasi Lingkungan Yayasan Gambut Dalam Restorasi Lahan Gambut Di Desa Sepahat Kecamatan Bandar Laksamana Kabupaten Bengkalis

Environmental communication plays an important role in the peatland restoration process, Yayasan Gambut is one of the environmental non-governmental organizations that uses environmental communication by collaborating with stakeholders in order to maximize efforts to restore the peat ecosystem. The purpose of this research is to find out the environmental communication used by Yayasan Gambut in peatland restoration activities in Sepahat Village, Bandar Laksamana District, Bengkalis Regency and the form of collaboration by Yayasan Gambut with stakeholders in the implementation of peatland restoration activities.
This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis presentation, and uses data analysis techniques in the form of interviews conducted on 9 informants according to the criteria selected using purposive techniques. In analyzing, the author uses Stakeholder Theory and Communicative Planning Theory.
The results of this study show that in the environmental communication process carried out by Yayasan Gambut to carry out peatland restoration activities in the form of a 3R activity approach, namely rewetting, revegetation, and revitalization. Therefore, Yayasan Gambut’s environmental communication messages are in line with the 3R activities approach. Communication actors collaborate in the delivery of restoration environmental communication, namely Yayasan Gambut director and are supported by stakeholders such as the Sepahat Village Government, Disaster Awareness Community, Sepahat Village Consultative Body, TNI Officials, RPK PT Bukit Batu Hutani Alam, Academics and the community. Collaboration in environmental affairs is very important because environmental problems are complex problems, Yayasan Gambut collaborates in the planning and implementation process of restotation environmental communication activities in Sepahat Village involving various stakeholders in a consensus manner. In this case, stakeholder collaboration supports their respective roles and interests, creating a collaboration based on the same goal of preserving the environment.
