Motif Khalayak Dalam Menonton Program Dialog Interaktif Hallo Pemirsa Lpp Tvri Stasiun Riau
Hallo Pemirsa is a karaoke-type television program that has interaction activities between the audience and the host. This audience activity is the result of choosing to use the media with certain considerations. Thus, this research aims to analyze audience motives and factors that encourage audiences to watch the Hallo Pemirsa Program of LPP TVRI Riau Station.
This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with the concept of media use by McQuail. The research subjects were seven informants using purposive technique. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. With data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions (verification). And data validity checking techniques using data source triangulation.
The results showed that first, the audience's motives in watching the Hallo Pemirsa interactive dialogue program departed from three motives for media use only, namely, personal identity motives, social integration and interaction motives, and entertainment motives. Informants stated that the information motive was not the motive in watching the Hallo Pemirsa program. Second, there are two factors that encourage audiences to watch this program, namely internal factors including motives, attitudes, emotions, to habits and personal experiences and external factors including time factors, program content, media personalities and media/channels. As well as constraints in the form of network constraints, delays and the duration and time of broadcast.
