Pengaruh Terpaan Informasi Akun Media Sosial Instagram @Rumahketiga Terhadap Citra Negatif Universitas Riau Pada Followers

The development of communication technology is now inseparable from the internet. Information and communication technology is becoming very fast, especially with the emergence of online media which makes it easier for people to access all information and content without limits. One of the phenomena of the entry of new culture is the emergence of menfess on social media such as Instagram. Instagram users are interested in finding out information from other parties Instagram accounts through the unique and interesting content contained therein. When content is considered useful, followers will provide positive comments and opinions. The aim of this research is to analyze whether there is an influence of exposure to information from the Instagram social media account on the image of Riau University among followers of the @rumahketiga Instagram account.
This research used quantitative methods with random sampling techniques and a formula using Slovin to obtain a sample size of 100 from the 10.9 thousand population of Instagram followers @rumahketiga. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire distributed online with the help of Google Form. The data analysis technique in this research uses simple linear regression analysis with the coefficient of determination calculated using SPSS Version 26.
In this research, it is known that the constant value is 7.041, meaning that the consistency value of the Riau University image variable towards followers is 7.041. Regression coefficient The regression coefficient is positive. The value in the t calculation obtained a value of 13.606. And the t-table value is 1.966. And in this research the results obtained were a value of R=809 and a coefficient of determination (Rsquare) of 0.654. This figure shows that the contribution of the information exposure variable from the Instagram social media account @rumahketiga to the image of the University of Riau among followers of the Instagram account @rumahketiga was 65.4%, which is in the strong category.
