Kandungan Mikroplastik Pada Tubuh Cacing Sutra (Tubifex Sp.) Di Sungai Sail Kota Pekanbaru, Provinsi Riau
The purpose of this study was to determine the types and abundance of microplastics in Tubifex sp., water, and sediment of Sail River. This research was conducted from Januari to March 2024. Sampling was carried out once a month for thee months at 3 stations. Surface water samples of 100 liters were collected and filtered using plankton net No. 25, while sediment and Tubifex sp. samples were taken using van veen grab. The water, sediment, and Tubifex sp. samples were identified using an Olympus CX 21 binocular microscope. The results showed that microplastics found in water and sediment were of types fiber, fragment, fiber, and pellet. The abundance of microplastics in the water ranged from 217 – 280 particles/m3 and in the sediment ranged from 4.007 – 4.720 particles/kg. The only type of microplastic found in Tubifex sp. was fiber, with 55 – 67% of the 40 Tubifex sp. have accidentally eaten microplastics.
