Gambaran Nyeri Pada Pasien Kanker

Introduction: Patients with cancer experience pain symptoms that can reduce the patient's functional capacity and quality of life. This study aims to determine how the description of pain in cancer patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province. Methods: This study used descriptive design with a cross sectional approach. This study was conducted on cancer patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital Riau Province involving 206 respondents with purposive sampling method. Results: This study showed that there were 103 respondents with mild pain (50.0%), 69 respondents with moderate pain (33.5%) and 34 respondents with severe pain (16.5%). Conclusion: based on the pain felt by cancer patients, the majority of mild pain intensity is 103 respondents (50.0%). This has a negative impact on every element of life and disrupts daily functions including sleep problems, ability to work and social interaction.
