Hubungan Pelaksanaan Continuity Of Care Terhadap Kualitas Hidup Pasien Dengan Masalah Kardiovaskular
Introduction: The implementation of continuity of care is a consistent and interconnected continuity of care over time according to patient needs. This continuity of health care can improve patient's quality of life and reduce the recurrence rate in patients with cardiovascular problems. This study aims to determine the relationship between implementing continuity of care and patients' quality of life with cardiovascular problems. Methods: This study used a quantitative correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample used patients with cardiovascular problems with a diagnosis of coronary heart disease and CHF (congestive heart failure) consisting of 87 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Continuity of care variables were measured using the Patient Continuity of Care Questionnaire (PCCQ) and quality of life using the World Organization Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square test analysis. Results: Demographic data obtained the characteristics of the majority of respondents aged 56-65 years (late elderly) 40 respondents (46.0%), male gender 69 respondents (79.3%), and the majority of high school education 58 respondents (66.7%), based on medical diagnoses the majority of patients with coronary heart disease 71 respondents (81.6%). Data on implementing continuity of care is high (63.2%), and quality of life is good (52.9%). The bivariate analysis results show a relationship between the implementation of continuity of care and the quality of life of patients with cardiovascular problems. Where the coefficient value of p value (0.001). Conclusion: Continuity of care with the concept of continuity of health care can contribute to the quality of life of patients and reduce recurrence in patients with cardiovascular problems, especially with diagnoses of coronary heart disease and CHF (congestive heart failure).
