Pengaruh Senam Aerobic Low Impact Terhadap Tekanan Darah Pada Lansia Penderita Hipertensi
Background: every year the number one cause of death worldwide is high blood pressure or known as hypertension. High blood pressure can increase the risk of more serious diseases and other complications. Hypertension often does not cause noticeable symptoms, which is why it is often referred to as a “silent killer”. High blood pressure around the world varies and its severity can be influenced by factors such as population, diet, lifestyle, and genetic factors. Therefore, to control blood pressure and avoid dangerous complications, it is important to measure blood pressure regularly and adopt a healthy lifestyle. One way to implement a healthy lifestyle is to exercise. One of the sports that can be done for people with hypertension is low impact aerobic exercise. This study aims to determine the effect of low impact aerobic exercise on blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Methods: this research is experimental research with the form of Quasi Experiment Designs. The research design is one group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sample study with 20 respondents. Sampling using total sampling method using a digital sphygmomanometer. Analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using Wilcoxon test. Result: a very significant decrease in blood pressure with p value 0.001 on the value of systolic blood pressure and P value 0.001 on the value of systolic blood pressure which means p < 0.05 Ho rejected. Conclusion: there is an effect of low impact aerobic exercise on blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
