Perkembangan Pendidikan Di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Pasca Pemekaran (1999-2022)
Development is a series of progressive changes that occur as a result of the process of maturity and experience consisting of a series of changes that are qualitative and quantitative, leading to a more advanced, mature, or mature direction. Education is a very important capital in living society. How good the education system in Indonesia is cannot be separated from the role of regions, because only regional people know best the needs of their region. The aim of this research is to (1) Find out the history of the expansion of Kuantan Singingi Regency in 1999. (2) Find out how education has developed in Kuantan Singingi Regency after the expansion in 1999-2022. (3) To find out what are the driving and inhibiting factors for educational development in Kuantan Singingi Regency after the 1999-2022 expansion. In this research the author uses the historical method, namely a set of principles and rules that provide effective assistance in collecting materials for historians, assessing them critically and then producing a synthesis of the results in written form. The results of the research show that every year there is development of education in Kuantan Singingi Regency, both in terms of the number of schools, students, teachers and facilities and infrastructure.
