Gambaran Stres Family Caregiver Dalam Merawat Pasien Kanker
Introduction: Family caregivers provide care to cancer patients because they feel involved and responsible culturally and religiously. So there are changes in physical and psychological health such as stress felt by family caregivers. This study aims to identify features of family caregiver stress in caring for cancer patients. Method: Quantitative descriptive research with a cross sectional approach and purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using the Perceived Stress Scale – 10 (PSS-10) questionnaire which was tested as valid first with a validity test value of 0.609-0.913 and a reliability value obtained by Cronbach alpha of 0.909. The research sample consisted of 31 respondents who had treated cancer patients for more than one month and were over 18 years old at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province in 2024. Univariate analysis was used to describe the characteristics of each variable in the form of frequencies and percentages. Results: The majority of respondents were elderly early (46–55 years) as many as 17 people (54.8%), with the majority being women as many as 18 people (58.1%), with the majority having a relationship with the patient as a partner as many as 13 people (48.4%), with the majority 15 people (48.4%) had a high school/equivalent education, the majority of respondents had incomes very far below the minimum wage 22 people (71%), most of the types of cancer experienced by patients were breast cancer, 10 people (32.3%). %), with the most frequent stage being stage IV as many as 21 people (67.7%), the most common cancer treatment being chemotherapy numbering 15 people (48.4%), with the majority of treatment duration being
