Faktor – Faktor Ibu Yang Memengaruhi Kejadian Berat Badan Lahir Rendah

Firta Aisyah Harfia/2011113095 - Nama Orang;

Introduction : The birth of a low birth weight (LBW) baby can have an impact on the baby's health in the future. This condition can be prevented by knowing the factors that cause babies to be born with LBW. The purpose of this study is to determine the maternal factors that can affect babies born with LBW. Methods : This study used an observational non-experimental design and a retrospective approach. The study sample was 150 respondents who were taken based on inclusion criteria using total sampling technique. The analysis used was bivariate analysis using the Independent Samples T Test test. Results : The study showed that maternal age (p = 0.926), gestational age (p = 0.548), number of parities (p = 0.120) did not affect the incidence of LBW while educational history (p = 0.008) and antenatal care (ANC) influenced the incidence of LBW. Conclusion : Based on the results of the study, the factors that influence the incidence of LBW are education history and ANC history, while maternal age, gestational age and number of parities do not affect the incidence of LBW. According to the researchers, this happens because there are still many other factors that affect the weight of the baby.
Keywords: LBW, maternal factors, infants
