Kualitas Air Pada Budidaya Ikan Patin (Pangasionodon Hypophthalmus) Dengan Manipulasi Fotoperiod Dan Sistem Akuaponik Sawi (Brassica Rapa L.)
Cultivation of catfish (Pangasius hypopthalmus) in dark conditions can improve fish growth, but the water quality in the culture medium is poor due to the lack of phytoplankton that can consume nutrients derived from uneaten feed and metabolic waste. The use of plants in aquaponic systems may be able to absorb nutrients and thus improve water quality. A study aimed at determining the effect of aquaponic system on water quality in catfish farming with photoperiod manipulation system was conducted in June-August 2021. This study used the RAK method with 2 factors, namely aquaponics S (Mustard) and F (Filter) and the second factor photoperiod, namely 24G (Dark) and N (Natural). Patin fish were kept in a 100 L plastic bucket container. Sampling was done 8 times, one time/week. Parameters observed were pH, temperature, DO, BOD5, nitrate, phosphate and ammonia. The results showed that in general, water quality in both aquaponic system and photoperiod manipulation treatments were still in accordance with quality standards for fisheries. The results of research on water quality showed that the best treatment that can improve water quality is natural mustard (NatS).
