Gambaran Psychological Well Being Pada Pasien Kanker Yang Menjalani Kemoterapi

Introduction: Cancer is abnormal and uncontrolled cell growth that is malignant and can invade and change tissue function. One of the treatment methods used for cancer is chemotherapy. Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy have difficulty accepting their condition which affects the dimensions of the patient's psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the picture of psychological well-being in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: This research was conducted in the Seruni integrated cancer room at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province from January to May 2024, using a quantitative descriptive design. The sample in this study was 85 respondents. The analysis used in this research is univariate analysis. Results: The results of the univariate analysis showed that most respondents were in late adulthood (32.9%), female (74.15%), had a high school/equivalent education (42.4%), worked as housewives (41, 2%), no income (64.7%), the most common type of cancer is breast (51.8%), duration of suffering from cancer for
