Perbedaan Tingkat Kecemasan Pasien Tb Paru Yang Menjalani Pengobatan Fase Intensif Dan Fase Lanjutan
Introduction: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease ranked number 1 in the world's deadliest. Pulmonary TB treatment goes through 2 phases, namely the intensive phase and the continuation phase. Treatment for a long time causes psychological problems, especially anxiety. This study aims to determine the difference in anxiety levels of pulmonary TB patients undergoing intensive phase and advanced phase treatment. Methods: This research uses a descriptive comparative study design. The sample in this study was 51 respondents taken by total sampling. The analysis used in this research is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis, namely the Fisher Exact Test. Results: The results of univariate analysis showed that most respondents were in early old age (37.3%), male (58.8%), long suffering > 2 months (62.7%), had no side effects from treatment (72 .5%), in the intensive phase most experienced moderate anxiety (19.6%) and in the advanced phase none experienced anxiety (37.3%). The results of bivariate analysis using the Fisher exact test showed that the ρ value was 0.000 < α 0.05. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the treatment phases (intensive and advanced) and the level of anxiety (no anxiety, mild anxiety, moderate anxiety, and severe anxiety). Suggestion: It is hoped that the results of this research can be a reference for nurses to provide health education regarding anxiety management so that treatment of pulmonary TB patients can be successful and complete.
