Pengendalian Blooming Algae Menggunakan Floating Cover Dari Plastik Ldpe Dan Hdpe Pada Skala Laboratorium
Blooming algae is a term used to describe a phenomenon where the number of algae suddenly increases significantly in a body of water, such as a lake or sea. Algal blooms often occur when environmental conditions, such as air temperature, nutrients, and sunlight, support rapid algae growth. Therefore, the aim of this research is to utilize waste plastic materials with LDPE (low Density Poly Ethylene) and HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene) polymers into plastic sheets using a heating process. The method used is RAK with 2 factors, namely the type of polymer (P) and the length of closing time (J), with 3 repetitions. The results of the research showed that after covering under sunlight using a floating cover made from used LDPE and HDPE plastic materials, there was a decrease in phytoplankton reporting. The average effectiveness of the reduction from closing using LDPE polymer for 6 hours was 76% while from covering HDPE for 6 hours obtained, the average effectiveness decreased by 79%. Based on the ANOVA test, the Fcount value was -0.06,
