ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN STRATEGY THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA BY PUBLIC RELATIONS (PR) AT THE NATIONAL NARCOTICS AGENCY (BNN) RIAU PROVINCE

Drug abuse in Indonesia is still rampant, and there is even an increase so that drug trafficking cases have become large-scale crimes. Therefore, the Public Relations of BNN Riau Province conducted an anti-drug campaign on social media. The purpose of this study is to find out how the anti-drug campaign strategy on social media carried out by the Public Relations of BNN Riau Province. The theory or model that guides the author in conducting research is the Componential Campaign Model.
The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive qualitative approach. The informants in this study amounted to 9 people consisting of 4 staff of BNN Riau Province and 5 audiences or followers of social media BNN Riau Province. The data collection techniques used were internal interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions.
The results showed that the Public Relations of BNN Riau Province focused on 5 aspects of conducting anti-drug campaigns on social media, namely: campaign actors, campaign messages, campaign channels/media, campaign audiences, and campaign effects or feedback. Of the five aspects, the audience is the main aspect to determine other aspects, and the Public Relations of BNN Riau Province targets Gen-Z as an audience segmentation for anti-drug campaigns on social media. Disruptions or obstacles faced during the campaign are such as schedule mismatches with campaigners and also postponement of the schedule to create content due to sudden activities that must be covered. Meanwhile, the disorders that the researcher obtained after making observations were semantic disorders and thinking frame barriers.
