Pengembangan Media Roller Alphabet Terhadap Kemampuan Mengenal Huruf Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Tk Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru
This research was motivated by children’s lack of understanding regarding recognizing letters and the availability of learning media that was less attractive to children. This research aims to improve the ability to recognize letters for children aged 5-6 years at the Pembina 3 Pekanbaru State Kindergarten. The type of research used is research and development. The steps taken are potential and problems, data collection, product design, product design validator, product revision, and product testing. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, Children’s Activity Sheet, and documentation. The instrument used was a questionnaire for validation of the roller alphabet from media experts. Material experts, and educators. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the research on the development of roller alphabet media showed that media expert validation results were 93.75% “very good”, material experts vaidation results were 93.75% “very good” and educator validation results obtained a percentage of 95.64% “very good”. The pretest assessment results obtained a percentage result of 47.22% and the posttest results showed an increase in the percentage result of 88.89%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the roller alphabet media is feasible and effective to use as a learning medium in improving the ability to recognize letters in children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru.
