Deteksi Kematangan Tandan Buah Segar Kelapa Sawit Dura Dan Tenera Yang Bergerak Menggunakan Sensor Ultrasonik
The palm oil industry is one of the main export commodities for Indonesia. Fresh palm fruit bunches (FFBs) are the basic ingredient of crude palm oil (CPO), and the quality of CPO itself is determined by the quality of oil palm FFB. As the industry develops, it is necessary to switch to renewable technology for a more efficient sorting and grading process for palm oil FFB. The grade of the sorting result depends on the ratio of the number of Tenera and Dura FFBs. According to Minister of Agriculture No. 01/2018 on Sorting and Grading, the grade and amount of purchase price are determined by the percentage of Tenera and Dura. The Tenera variety has a large mesocarp thickness of 60-96% proportion while Dura has a thin mesocarpthickness of 36–65%. Determining Ripeness and Variety of FFB manually takes a long time and can damage the fruit. In this study, a system for detecting ripeness of Dura and Tenera varieties of oil palm FFBs was developed using Ultrasonic Sensors as Detectors, connected to Arduino, and electronic components placed next to a moving conveyor. Data acquisition program and PCA analysis. The results is showed that the voltage value of raw Dura are 15-20 mV and mature Dura varieties is 10–13 mV, while the value of raw Tenera varieties are 34–37 mV and mature Tenera varieties are 29–32 mV. The two variables used to analyze the PC1 voltage value were 93.261% and the PC2 value was 3.739%, so the cumulative percentage obtained was 97.36%. The pattern and uniformity formed in the scatter plot show the grouping of data in each sample type according to its variety.
