The Relationship Between Self Efficacy, Work Stress, Family Support, Workplace Placement and Nurse Hardiness

Abstract
Introduction: Hardiness is an individual’s ability to manage, overcome, reduce and survive stress or upleasant conditions in life. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between self efficacy, work stress, family support and work room placement with nurses’ hardiness. Methode: The design of this research using correlational quantitative research methods. The research sample used total sampling, a total sample of 700 nurse respondents with a response rate worth analyzing 676 (96.57%) respondents. The statistical analysis test used was bivariate analysis of chi-square test and multiple linear regression anlysis. Results: There are 570 nurses (84.3%) in the moderate self efficacy category, 472 (69.8%) nurses’ hardiness in the high category, 595 (88.1%) nurses’ work stress in the mild category, the amount of family support 555 (82.1%) are in the high category and the placement of the highest work space in the inpatient room 244 (36%) nurses. The result of multiple linear regression tests with the coefficient of determination R square is 0.159 or using independent variables can explain hardiness as much as 15.9% of the model.
