Produksi Karbon Aktif Berbahan Dasar Limbah Plastik Polyethylene Terephthalate (Pet) Dengan Metode Aktivasi Fisika Pada Aplikasi Penyerapan Karbon Dioksida (Co2)
NUR KHOTIMAH, NIM. 2210247002, Production of Activated Carbon from Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Plastic Waste by Physical Activation Method for Adsorption Application of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), supervised by Awaludin Martin and Erman Taer.
This research aims to produce activated carbon from PET plastic using the physical activation method. The production of activated carbon from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic waste is very potential, in addition to having abundant carbon content and availability.
The results of this research obtained the most optimum Iodine absorption capacity of 895.78 mg/g. These results have met SNI 06-3703-1995 for activated carbon, which is a minimum of 750 mg/g. The surface area, pore volume and pore size of PET activated carbon are 428.141 m2/g, 0.4083 cm3/g, and 19.07 Å, respectively. From the pore size, PET activated carbon can be classified as a microporous adsorbent (d
