Metafora Alam Dalam Lirik Lagu Aimer

Metaphor is a language style used to compare one thing to another and its main function is understanding. The use of metaphors is often found in literary works, one type of literary work that uses metaphors is a song. This certainly raises the question of how to understand the meaning of metaphors used in a song.
This research was conducted to find out the types of metaphors used, what they mean, and what image schemes are used in understanding the use of nature metaphors in the lyrics of songs sung by Aimer. This research uses a type of qualitative descriptive research method. The data sources used are Japanese songs sung by Aimer in her albums entitled Walpurgis and After dark. The data collection methods used are listening, and note taking.
The results of this study show that the types of nature metaphors used in the songs sung by Aimer are three types of conceptual metaphors, namely, structural metaphors, orientational metaphors, and ontological metaphors. Using the image scheme proposed by Lakoff and Johnson, as well as the category of natural elements in Japanese metaphorical expressions according to Nakamura Akira to understand how the meaning process of natural metaphorical expressions is used.
