Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa Kelas VIII.1 MTS PP Nurul Islam Kampung Baru
The basis of the problem faced is the mathematical problem solving ability (KPMM) of MTs PP students. Nurul Islam Kampung Baru class VIII.1 is low. Therefore, research was carried out which intended to fixed the learning process and build KPMM of MTs PP students. Nurul Islam Kampung Baru class VIII.1 to be more improved by application a problem-based learning (PBL) model on the topic of flat-sided spaces. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is done in 2 cycles. The stages include planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects involved were students of MTs PP Nurul Islam Kampung Baru class VIII.1 with a total of 30 people. Data were collected using observation techniques and KPMM test techniques. The results found were an increase in the average KPMM score, namely 26.5 in the initial test, 52.33 in the cycle 1 test, and 65.5 in the cycle II test. So, the application of the PBL model can fixed the learning process and increase the KPMM of student MTs PP Nurul Islam Kampung Baru class VIII.1.
