Fisheries resource management based on local wisdom is a policy and agreement that has been passed down through generations. Current fisheries resource management faces several serious problems, including over-exploitation. One village that applies local wisdom is Teluk Paman Timur Village. The application of the fisheries management model in the form of ‘lubuk larangan’ involves designating certain areas in the river where fishing is prohibited and protected by the community. This research aims to determine the environmental conditions of the physical-chemical parameters of the water, the economic and social benefits of the ‘lubuk larangan’ for the community, and the existing conditions of fisheries resource management in Teluk Paman Timur Village. This study uses qualitative descriptive methods, and data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and direct measurement of physical-chemical parameters. The results show that the implementation of ‘lubuk larangan’ in Teluk Paman Timur Village, based on local wisdom, is still actively practiced. The management of ‘lubuk larangan’ is entirely under the responsibility of ninik mamak, POKMASWAS and BPD with community support. The existence of ‘lubuk larangan’ provides economic benefits by meeting consumption needs and providing additional income for the community. Socially, ‘lubuk larangan’ serves as a place for social gatherings, community cooperation, and joint activities during the opening of the harvest season. The water conditions of ‘lubuk larangan’ are good, as indicated by measured water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, clarity, current speed, depth, and TDS, which show that the water conditions meet class 2 water quality standards that support the sustainability of fishery resources and other aquatic organisms.
