Kebutuhan Siswa Mengikuti Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Jepang Dengan Model Pendekatan Student Centered Learning Di Kelas Xi Ips 2 Sma Negeri 9 Pekanbaru
The reason this research was conducted was because students had difficulties in learning Japanese and teachers had not yet mastered correctly implementing learning with Student Centered Learning to overcome these problems, so researchers needed to re-motivate how to learn with SCL so that learning outcomes were maximized. This research is a quantitative descriptive study which aims to determine the needs of students in taking Japanese language lessons using the Student Centered Learning model. The population and sample in this research were class XI IPS 2 students, totaling 32 students. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire consisting of 20 statements. Based on the results of the analysis carried out on questionnaires and assisted by interviews with several students, it was found that students' perceptions of taking Japanese language lessons using the SCL model were positive which can be seen from the results of the questionnaire, namely that 12 students had very positive perceptions, while 18 other students had very positive perceptions. positive and there were no students who had less than positive or negative responses. Apart from that, internal factors which include interest and attention also had positive results based on students' perceptions, while for external factors there were 3 students who gave less positive responses for acceptable reasons. So, overall it can be concluded that class XI IPS 2 SMA Pekanbaru students need a Student Centered Learning learning model for learning Japanese.
