Bioekologi Kepiting Pada Ekosistem Mangrove Di Kawasan Pesisir Pelabuhan Tanjung Buton Kabupaten Siak
Crabs that inhabit mangrove ecosystems play important role in degrading mangrove litter, thus the presence of crab is related to the condition of mangrove in general. To understand the relationship between crab and mangrove condition in the mangrove area of the Tanjung Buton coastal area, a study has been conducted in June - August 2023. There were research 3 stations and in each station a transect (10 m x 10 m) with 10 sub plots (1m x 1m) was set. Crab were captured manually in each sub plot, and mangrove trees in each transects were counted and identified. Results shown that the types of crab present in each sampling site were similar. They were consisted of 8 crab species, namely Ocypodidae (Uca rosea, U. dussumieri, U.coarctata, U. arcuata and U.forcipata ) and Sesarmidae (Perisesarma sp, Sesarma sp 1 and Sesarma sp 2). The abundance of crab in each station was different, they were 7.73 crabs/m2, 10.39 crabs/m2, and 21.08 crabs/m2 in St 1, St 2 and St 3 respectively. Types of mangrove present in the study area were Avicennia alba, A.germinas, Sonneratia alba, S. ovata, Rhizophora apiculata, R. stylosa, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, B. parviflora, Scyphiphora hydrophyllacea. Mangrove density were 577,78 trees/ha, 1.133 trees/ha, and 1.566 trees/ha in St1, St2 and St3 respectively. The
relationship between mangrove and crab abundances Y = 2002.5x + 30542 and R2 = 0.89%, indicating 89% of crab density was affected by mangrove abundance and 11% was affected by other factors. Data obtained indicates that the mangrove
density greatly affects the crab density.
